AutonoSys Technology Has Been Proven In Global Competition.

lDeveloped over the last two years, the key areas of existing Autonosys IP are

  1. Obstacle detection and avoidance
  2. Sensor fusion,
  3. Location determination and mapping, 
  4. Planning for purposeful progress towards a goal. 

These technologies have been proven in open competition against the best in the world in the Trinity Fire Fighting contest.  This contest has been running for 11 years and attracts teams around the world.  lIn the contest, Autonomous Vehicles must search a model house for a hidden fire, and put the fire out in minimum time.  lIn 2004, AutonoSys robots placed 1st and 2cnd in the Senior Division in this contest.  The cumulative time taken for three successful runs of our first place robot was 18 seconds.  The best placed non-AutonoSys robot took at total of 125 seconds for the same task.

AutonoSys Is Now Taking Its Technology Further

AutonoSys is currently working on the following extensions to its existing technology base:
  1. An obstacle sensor with an order of magnitude faster response than competing technologies.
  2. Software to generate real time maps of local obstacles based on the high speed sensor output. 
  3. Software to integrate differential GPS and inertial sensors to give an accurate position at all times.  
  4. Software to plan an optimal route from the current position to the next target position based on pre-existing overview maps and the local obstacle map.
  5. Hardware and software to allow conversion of any existing vehicle to Tele-Operation or Autonomous Control.
